Where youth go, mentors are sure to follow . . . and we're banking on it!

Mentoring Programs

At the San Luis Valley Comprehensive Community Mental Health Center, drug, alcohol and tobacco prevention is a growing program. Within those prevention categories is the Mi Animo Prevention (mentoring) program. The staff recognizes that mentoring is key to the successful reduction of these habits.

Mentoring a young person is a way to make a difference in our local communities. Our mentors report a huge increase in their "fun" quotients! Imagine with us for a moment our Valley stocked piled with children and youth reaching for their dreams and in the background an adults friend saying "You can do it!"
