¿Que Piensas? Anna Lee First of all , I would like to welcome everyone to the new Conejos County Mentoring program. The name of the program is Sí Se Puede, which means, "Yes, I can!" The name of this program is the message I hope to get across to all the youth. I would like to be able to let all our "kiddos" know that they have the potential to achieve their gols of graduating from college and going on to become doctors, artists, or famous race car drivers. With the wide support of the community and the dedication of the youth, I have the firm belief that ANYTHING is possible. Hey, look at me. I graduated from Adams State College in May of 2003 and i started my career doing something that I truly love! Working with youth! I love my job and this program and I'm hoping that the community will too. Lastly, I would like to say gracias to all the mentors for making a difference to the kids for having trust in me, to DSS for all their support, to the community for accepting me into the schools, to all the parents for letting me work with your kids, and to all my team members for having my back and letting me make mistakes along the way. I've learned so much! All of you are AWESOME! Gracias, from the bottom of my heart. |
