Mentoring Works!
Within the Mi Animo Prevention Program, evidence strongly supports that mentoring works! Attendance and grades of students involved in the program has improved.
- Children in the mentoring program are making honor roll for the first time.

- Some children have been named students of the month.
- Children are improving at least one letter grade in their weakest subjects and showing improved effort overall.
It takes all of us!Mi Animo Prevention staff know, like police and county sheriffs know, that our work to combat the problems of underage drinking starts with each of us. Prevention must start here with all of us--teachers, lawyers, parents, counselors, doctors, pastors, friends, family. As a community, we need to stop teens access to alcohol. In this effort, mentors make a huge difference.
